Pipalkoti is a small town located at a distance of 79 km from Badrinath Dham. The town is situated in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. This town lies on the Garhwal Himalayas. Pipalkoti is surrounded by thick forests of oak and also offers a glorious view of mountain peaks of Nanda Devi, Mana Parbat, Neelkanth and Hathi Parbat. The town is located 17 km after Chamoli. It is a relaxation point for the people who visit Badrinath, Auli, Hemkund Sahib and the Valley of Flowers. Pipalkoti is a popular pilgrimage center and a very beautiful place to attract tourists. A famous shrine of Vridh Badri, which is one of the five badris, is situated on the way from Pipalkoti to Joshimath. Pipalkoti provides beautiful views of the snow-clad mountains and green hills.
